Kid’s feather headdress costume: What’s your child’s favourite dress-up?

kid's feather headdress costume

Wow! Is this kid’s feather headdress costume amazing or what!

A gift we picked up last week, at first I was in love with the gorgeous simplicity of this kid’s white feather headdress, but now I cant decide between the two versions…
The contrast of the blues and browns is very lovely and suits Liana’s complexion quite well… But white… Oh, white is so pretty!

Liana and I had a little play with these while out and about last week and I am absolutely loving the images… Plus, Liana was pretty happy with all the attention she got… Wearing one of these feather headdress costumes to the shopping centre certainly turns heads and makes people smile!
She has now decided she wants an Indian themed birthday party… There is a difference though, between the ‘Indian’ themed party that she is imagining [bollywood style and her favorite food served – curry and naan bread] and a ‘Cowboy and Indian’ themed party which the headdress is suited to… Considering her birthday is next week, I am not sure what can come up with, but we will see!

Which colour feather headdress costume do you prefer?

White or Blue? I would love to hear from you in the comments below…

Liana says she cant decide, she loves them both.

The white one “I love snow, I have always wanted to see snow and the white colour reminds me of snow so that makes me happy”

The blue and brown one “I really like all the colours and how they all match well together, and the pattern on the feathers is really cool.”

These two kid’s feather headdress costumes both came from Gather Kids and you can get a feather headdress for your kids here.

What’s your child’s favourite dress-up?

Thinking back, Liana was never really into dress-up’s that much as she has grown up! We quite often had dress-ups, or pretty outfits for photo shoots, but she would rarely choose to wear them outside of those times. To her, it is comfort all the way… Just like her mama, she wants to buy and ‘collect’ beautiful clothes and shoes, and loves fashion, but 99% of the time can be found in her favorite track pants and sneakers (or in my case – ugg boots!)
Pettiskirts were a bit of a phase a few years ago and Liana would quite often wear them to the shops, or to parties… [this image from 2010]

But lately, it seems to be all about the novelty beanies, hats and headbands… [these images from the #projectliana365 series from 2014]

Please let me know in the comments below – what is your child’s favorite dress up to play? Plus of course – the all important question, which colour feather headdress do you prefer – white or blue?
Oh and any tips on how to incorporate the headdresses into a birthday party for a 10 year old girl, would be much appreciated!

Have a fabulous day!

WOW Renee, I just LOVE your photos. The tone and image are just gorgeous. I love how whilst it’s the same child they images are so different and capture her in so many lights.ReplyCancel

Such beautiful photos with genuine smiles, both of you have such talent!! I love the colourful headdress, but she looks stunning in both. Oh, and perhaps the other could be worn by guests, in turn, their moment to shine. With photos of birthday girl with each of them of course.
